In advance, congratulations on being able to represent your zone at SOSSA for the 2009/10 season. Now that your team has the chance to play for the SOSSA Championship, there are some things that your team must think about in preparation for the tournament.
1. Date: Tuesday, March 9, 2010
2. Location: Mohawk 4 Ice Center (Quad Pad) (Mountain Brow Blvd. between Limeridge and Mohawk)
Mohawk 4 Ice Centre
710 Mountain Brow Blvd.
(Upper Kenilworth & Mohawk)
Hamilton, ON L8S3R9
905-318-5111

From Toronto: Hwy-403 West towards Hamilton, follow highway up the Escarpment and exit at Lincoln Alexander Parkway East, follow Parkway and exit at Upper Gage Ave. exit. Turn left and proceed north to Mohawk Road. Turn right on Mohawk Road. Mohawk turns into Mountain Brow Blvd. (stay to the right).
From Niagara Falls: QEW towards Hamilton, exit at Centennial Parkway. Turn left and proceed south on Centennial up the escarpment and turn right at Mud Road. Follow Mud Rd. as it turns into the Lincoln Alexander Parkway, take Upper Gage Ave. exit. Turn right on Upper Gage Avenue. Turn right on Mohawk Road. Mohawk turns into Mountain Brow Blvd. (stay to the right).
3. Tournament Structure and Procedure: Single Elimination Tournament with the semi-final winners meeting to determine the SOSSA Champion.
4. Seeding-pairings: 9:00 am Zone 1 vs Zone 3 and Zone 2 vs Zone 4
SOSSA CHAMPIONSHIP GAME: 1:00 PM Winner of Zone 1 vs Zone 3
                                                                     VS
Winner of Zone 2 vs Zone 4
5. Uniforms: Please bring home and away uniforms if possible. In case of colour conflicts in uniforms, the home team is responsible for arranging a solution to the conflict.
6. Expenses: Those schools that are entered in the SOSSA Tournament  are responsible for arranging their own travel and meals.
7. Eligibility: All participating schools must bring an updated eligibility sheet to participate.

I would appreciate if each zone convenor could inform me of the details of his/her Zone Representative, including Coach's information, uniform colour, as soon as a Zone Champion is declared. I wiil only accept the name of the Zone Representative from the Zone Convenor. It is also important that the Coaches make themselves familiar with the SOSSA rules and regulations.
Remind all students that they are representing both their Schools and Zones and are to act accordingly.
Once again, congratulations on your Championship, we look forward to seeing you on the 9th.
